"Right is right, even if everyone is against it; and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it." - William Penn

I agree with this quote because there are many events in which people don't agree with whatever it might be that is being carried out, but sometimes they don't think about how that will affect each and every single person. The thing is that even though people might not agree, whatever is going to happen might be the best for everyone. People might think that who ever is carrying out that particular decision is not thinking about everything, but the fact is that they are. I agree that there are many bad people out there who don't care about the well being of others, but there are also people out there who do care and with that said I continue to make my point about how I can relate to this quote when it states that "right is right, even if everyone is against it." A good example of this might be abortion. Some people are for it and others are against. Some people argue that abortion is just an abominable thing to do. They believe that it is not right to take away the life of a baby who hasn't even been born yet. Yes, I realize that it sounds quite harsh, however what most of these people don't stop to think about is how the women who are carrying these fetuses feel. Let me just give you a quick scenario. Let's say there is a crack addict who is barely surviving and doesn't have a stable home let alone a job to pay for bills and food and she's pregnant. While she's pregnant she is still doing drugs. If this baby is born it will be born with possible birth defects and could live a miserable and unhealthy life. Would you still argue and fight for that baby? If you said yes then it's probably because you think that someone could just save that baby. Now this might be true but the reality of it is that you can't save every baby and it's probable that the babies who don't get saved only become addicts themselves or they probably becomes something worse. Anyway my point is that although a lot of people think it's wrong it could always be best to get an abortion which according to the likelihood of that child even surviving in this world, might not be such a bad thing after all. this scenario could also go for the second part of this quote. See, if the person was to argue against abortion and they had good enough reasons for justifying their position then "wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it."
